 Step 1. Marshal Information

Currently being updated for 2024

View the Volunteer Presentation  PDF for details about the roles of marshals. Use the link above "Volunteers Briefing PDF"

Below you will find a map of the route with the water stations. Connected junctions are colour coded to their water station. A second map indicates the opening and closing time of the water stations.  A spreadsheet lists the positions available and shows the water station codes and What3Word address for each position. Lines greyed out are taken.

Choose the position you would like to man. Once you have registered using the form above, Sue Durrant our marshal coordinator will acknowledge your registration. You will then receive emails nearer the time of the event with further information. Please keep an eye on your inbox and spam for emails from volunteersbostonmarathonuk@gmail.com

How to find the water station or junction marshal positions.

Refer to the spreadsheet to establish the What3Words then search the 3 words on the What3Words website or app. This will show the exact position and how to navigate to it from wherever you are. Please remember the What3Words of the position you choose as it is used by recovery vehicles and ambulances to establish locations if you request them to come to your position.
